Cultures of Kerala - Group Tour

5 nights/6 days including 1 night on a luxury houseboat on the backwaters of Alleppey.

Days of Operation:

27th January to 1st February 2027


Day 1:

  • Pick-up from hotel, approximately 6pm (North Goa only).

  • Fly direct from Goa to Kochi.

  • The flight departs Goa (Dabolim) at 21:05 and arrives in Kochi at 22:25.

  • Quick transfer and overnight stay at an airport hotel.

*Alternative arrangements can be made for guests staying in South Goa.


Day 2:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Drive to Munnar (approximately 4 hours) and enjoy the stunning scenery along the way.

  • Check in to the hotel.

  • Later, visit Raga Theatre to watch traditional Keralan performances of Kathakali and Kalaripayattu. Kathakali is a vibrant dance form known for its elaborate makeup, colourful costumes, and expressive facial gestures, while Kalaripayattu showcases traditional martial arts in India.

  • Overnight stay in Munnar.


Day 3:

  • After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Munnar.

  • Visit the tea gardens, including an insightful tour of the Tea Factory and Tea Museum to learn about tea processing and its history.

  • Later visit, Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and stunning landscapes.

  • Overnight stay in Munnar.


Day 4:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Drive to Alleppey for an overnight stay on a luxury houseboat (approximately 5 hours). Check-in is at 12:30pm.

  • Cruise from 12:30pm to 5:30pm.

  • Overnight stay on the houseboat.


Day 5:

  • Cruise from 8-9am.

  • After breakfast, check out of the houseboat by 9am and proceed for sightseeing in Kochi.

  • Spend the rest of the day exploring the city’s iconic attractions, including the Kerala Folklore Museum, the Paradesi Synagogue, St. Francis CSI Church, Princess Street, the famous Chinese fishing nets, and the Naval Maritime Museum.

  • Overnight stay in Kochi.


Day 6:

  • After breakfast, proceed to the railway station.

  • The train departs Kochi at 10:40am and arrives in Goa (Margao) at 11:04pm.

  • You will then be dropped off at your hotel.

  • 56,999 rupees per person, approximately £453pp (based on twin share).

  • 81,999 rupees, approximately £651 for sole occupancy.

  • Option to upgrade and fly both ways for an additional cost.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

  • Once the booking is confirmed, the deposit is non-refundable under no circumstances.

  • The outstanding balance is payable on the day of the tour.

  • If cancelled 60 days or more before the tour, you will lose the deposit already paid.

  • If cancelled within 60 days of the tour or in the case of a no-show, you will be required to pay the outstanding balance in full.

  • You are required to arrange your own travel insurance. Emazing Tours is not responsible for any uninsured incidents, injuries or losses that occur on any of our tours.


Important Information

  • If the 10-bedroom houseboat is not fully occupied, you will be accommodated in an alternative houseboat or houseboats of the same standard.

  • The hotels in Kerala do not have licensed bars. You are therefore advised to carry your own alcohol from Goa, if required.

  • Wine and beer are available for purchase on the houseboat at an additional cost. Wine is charged at 3,000 rupees per bottle, and beer at 400 rupees per bottle.
