Designed especially for wildlife enthusiasts, this expedition combines two of Rajasthan’s most exciting big-cat destinations: Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and Jhalana Leopard Safari Park.
The highlight of the tour is Ranthambore, one of India’s most celebrated tiger reserves and a remarkable landscape for observing wild Bengal tigers. The 2022 national tiger assessment recorded 69 tigers in Ranthambore, making it one of the most important tiger populations in western India.
To enhance your experience at Ranthambore, you will be accompanied by an experienced English-speaking naturalist tour guide. Their knowledge of the reserve, wildlife behaviour, habitats, and conservation will provide a deeper insight into the wilderness around you. They will also assist with spotting and interpreting wildlife, from tracking signs of tigers and other animals to identifying the many bird species found throughout the reserve. Their expertise will help make each safari both informative and memorable.
The second wildlife experience takes you to Jhalana Leopard Safari Park near Jaipur, a very different habitat and a fascinating complement to Ranthambore. Here, the focus shifts from the tiger to the leopard, with safaris through Jhalana’s dry, rocky landscape offering the chance to observe these elusive and highly adaptable predators.
The smaller size and distinctive terrain of Jhalana creates a more intimate safari experience, where careful tracking and patience can reward you with great encounters.
The combination of Ranthambore’s iconic Bengal tigers and Jhalana’s elusive leopards makes this an ideal tour for travellers who want to go beyond conventional sightseeing. Expect early-morning and afternoon safaris, knowledgeable naturalists, dramatic landscapes, and plenty of time in the field searching for wildlife.
While sightings can never be guaranteed, every drive offers the possibility of something memorable, from a tiger emerging from the forest to a leopard appearing silently among the rocky hills. Together, Ranthambore and Jhalana offer an unforgettable opportunity to experience India’s great predators in their natural habitats, with the chance to witness majestic Bengal tigers and elusive Indian leopards in the wild.
