Great experience
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The travelling fun and interesting, the hotel was great. We enjoyed all the different cultural stops, there are so many things to see in karnataka. Our favourite was the Krishna temple, we had a fabulous time there. We found the walk to the Fort quite difficult but other than that 1 thing it was a great tour. Emma's admin and Lawrence's knowledge made it a great trip . Thanks

Cultures of Karnataka Tour
We had a fantastic time on the Cultures of Karnataka Tour. Lawrence was the perfect tour guide, extremely knowledgeable & made everyone feel welcome. He is a major asset to this particular trip and I could not imagine anyone else replacing him,
Once again many thanks to yourself & Lawrence for enabling us to see more of India 🙏
Will definitely be doing another trip with the same company again

Great experience for first timer
Absolutely brilliant trip, the morning trek in Karnataka is not for the faint hearted and would be no good for people with mobility issues, Laurence is very funny, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and defiantly knows his history, if I had to change something it would be to possible go back to hotel to refresh before the baby krishna temple, so we can spend a little more time there.
The train journey to and from margao to udupi is well worth the experience, definitely recommend

Best tour ever!!!
From start to finish, Emma took care of everything… Including organising our Indian visas at last minute!! Emma‘s communication was excellent, and she was happy to tailor the Tour to our needs and we had a truly memorable day. The Tour was perfectly paced, and despite it being a long day there were so many different things to see that we didn’t get tired. Lawrence was a brilliant guide. He gave us so much information and brought everything to life, the temples, the tea factory, the sculptures !!! I think the highlight was visiting the Sri Krishna Temple in the evening and watching the chariot ride… you have to see it to believe it!!!
Cant recommend this tour highly enough….I’m definitely going to book another tour with of Emma soon. 😁

The vision I put on paper you made come to life.
Picked up on time by tour guide Lawrence, after pickups we were driven to Margoa station to board our train. Ohh what an experience, lots to see along the journey, Lawrence always on hand to inform us when to have our cameras ready for a good picture. Entertainment on the train, sellers selling everything from chai, water, samosa, jewellery, fruit, toys and more. Beggars singing their songs, the lady boy wanting money, Lawrence soon told him to go. Some people find them intimidating, I always think best to smile.
A time to get to know the others during the journey exchanging our funny stories and by the end of the journey new friends made. Arrived in Udipi, we were transferred by minibus to our hotel which is fantastic. Room a good size with excellent showers wifi, TV. On site fabulous restaurant with excellent food at good prices. There is a shop which will have everything you need if you have forgotten anything.
We had a fantastic meal
In the restaurant and a few kingfishers, then to bed for 5 am wake up call.
Coach left 5- 30am prompt first stop Agumbe a great view point, fantastic scenery with plenty of monkeys to keep you amused.
A lovely experience
Next stop Kavaledurga natural beauty and trekking terrain best known for the 9th century fort which rests on top of the hill, once at the summit you can soak
In the breathtaking 360 degree views.
For the trekking I would advise you wear a sensible shoe or trainer. If you have mobility problems, speak with Emma who will be happy to advise.
If you feel you are unable to take part in the trekking please don’t let this part put you off as alternative arrangements can be made. Such a shame to miss out.
Next stop VIDYASHANKER Temple a 1000 year architectural beauty in Sringen. There are 12 pillars representing 12 signs of the zodiac, no surprise this is on peoples bucket lists.
The royal elephants Amruta and Bhanumathi were rescued from the villages and now owned by the temple.fascinating to see.
Now we’re ready for a cup of tea. Next stop Balanoor tea factory. Interesting to see the process of how tea is made. Oh we were ready for that cuppa. Was lovely.
Next stop Karkala. A town in Udipi district of Karnataka. There are several ancient temples but the main attraction is the statue of Bahubali 17 metres tall carved from a single block of granite, and can be seen for 19 miles. What a fabulous experience.
Last stop thousand pillar temple full of elaborate sculptures and decorations, no two pillars are the same. Beautiful! Ohh what a day.
Evening time time to visit the famous Hindu temple were. 400 year cultural festival of Udipi takes place. The Deity is invited out from the temple and is taken on a chariot ride, hundreds of people waiting for the Deity to leave the temple.
A fabulous bonkers amazing experience.
Back to hotel shower, we had our meal in them On site restaurant again, good service fabulous food and sharing our experiences over a few kingfishers.
A day packed with Karnataka culture with not a second to spare.
I
Would definitely recommend if you are interested in cultural experiences.I enjoyed it so much I went twice.
Absolutely brilliant,
My recommendation for the train would be to take a small
Cushion / pillow for your back. Toilet tissue as it’s not provided. If you don’t want to take snacks there are plenty for sale on the train.
Once again Emazing tours do not disappoint. I will say it again Emma is second to none in my opinion, highly experienced in the travel
Industry, professional but down to earth, helpful and friendly.
Definitely recommend
